“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose”. Acts 15:25-25 (NIV)
Christ gives us power to sing in the Spirit to God. When we sing, both spiritual and natural effects happen. Despite the circumstance, the situation or the atmosphere, singing in the Spirit charges the environment for the supernatural. The Holy Spirit inside of us wells up and puts the Song of the Lord in our hearts at just the right moments to do the impossible. Paul and Silas were in prison and when they sang every man’s bands were loosed. The Song of Heaven can change our situation in miraculous ways.
Sing praise with your heart to the Lord and watch for what will happen in your midst.
