“For I, says the Lord, will be a wall of fire round about her and the glory in the midst of her” (Zechariah 2:5).
The prophet, in this verse, declared a future time of supernatural safety for the city of Jerusalem. We are now the city of God (Hebrews 12:22). Instead of building emotional walls out of pride and shame to protect our injured hearts, we can allow the Lord to be our wall of fire! By surrendering and choosing to trust His fire and not our own failed strategies, we can begin to grow!
