“The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.” ~Leviticus 6:13
This fire originated from the presence of God (Leviticus 9:24).
It was the Lord’s fire, and was His responsibility to provide it for tabernacle worship. Subsequently, it was the priest’s responsibility to keep the fire burning. It was to NEVER go out!
This was an Old Testament type of our worship today. It is His fire, and our responsibility is to oxygenate and provide fuel for the fire to continue to burn and grow! Our worship in spirit and truth provides spiritual oxygen for this fire. We can refresh the Holy Spirit in our lives!
“Quench Not the Spirit (I Thessalonians 5:19).” Don’t put out the Spirit’s fire!
