Through Christ’s salvation, we receive healing, soundness of mind, strength to battle the enemy, freedom from every bondage, and fullness of life!
In John 7:37-39, Jesus challenges us to come and drink of Him. He likens Himself to the rock smitten by Moses in Exodus 17:4-7. In the same way that the rock was smitten by Moses and brought forth life-giving water for the children of Israel, so, too, Christ was smitten at Calvary; and now His life-giving water flows to His children! This living water springs from Christ in such volume that when He resides within our believing hearts, His very nature pours forth from us like a river, reaching everyone we meet!
What purpose does this living water serve? First of all, it gives life, nourishment and fruitfulness to dry and dying humanity. Those who receive the life-giving water or presence of the Holy Spirit experience what Isaiah 35:6-7 describes in this manner: “…for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water.” As the dry, parched ground absorbs the water of the Holy Spirit, the purpose of the water can be seen: it is to bring praise to God. “This people have I formed for Myself; they shall shew forth My praise (Isaiah 43:21).”
Be a part of bringing Jesus Christ’s living water to the people around you. Bring a refreshing to your family, friends, coworkers and those you meet every day. Share the life-giving, life-sustaining water of the Holy Spirit wherever you go and with whomever you meet, as the Spirit leads you. In this way, you will show forth His praise and point the way to the cross and salvation!
Here at KNMI, we are currently working with Bishop Jefferson Nyatuka in Kenya to bring fresh, clean water to the areas of his nation with the greatest need. Our desire is to dig a Rehoboth well in Kenya. We find the name “Rehoboth” in Genesis 26:22. Isaac had tried twice to dig a well, but the herdsmen of Gerar argued over its placement. They drove him off both times, proclaiming the water was theirs. But the third time he stopped to dig a well, they left him alone; thus, he named the spot Rehoboth, “the Lord will make room.” We believe God will make room for us in Kenya. Your partnership, your assistance, will enable us to bring clean water AND spiritual water to the remote areas of this country. Share your financial overflow this Easter season with an offering of $25, $50, $100, or your very best gift, and watch as God pours out His living water in Africa that will save many lives! Your gift makes a difference!
