Today, many people are in need of miracles. Some need healing in their bodies; others need financial breakthroughs. Still others are believing for a relationship to be restored or guidance for an important decision they’re facing. There is hope for a miracle in Jesus.
In Matthew 9:20-22, we read of a woman who had a bleeding issue for more than twelve years. We’re told that her condition continued to worsen despite the fact she sought help from many physicians (Mark 5:25-34). She heard about Jesus and His ability to perform miracles, and she set her mind to receive a miracle herself. Matthew 9:21 says that she thought, “If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole.” Once she was healed, Jesus confirmed that it was her faith that had made her whole. From that moment on, she walked in healing.
This woman set a precedent for others to follow. She was the first to receive a healing in this manner, and her faith (to simply touch the hem of His garment) spread to the crowd. Matthew 14:36 says that others, “besought Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.” Others were inspired to reach out and touch Jesus!
What miracle are you believing for? What issues are you facing that need a miracle? Stretch out your faith and believe. Be the first to get your miracle. Be the tone-setter for others; inspire them to believe for their own miracles. It only takes one small spark to ignite a fire. Be a faith fire-starter. Blaze the way for others to believe and receive from Jesus. Romans 10:12 says, “There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.” What God does for one, He will do for others.
Be a fire-starter and spread the Gospel! Don’t believe the lie that you’re not called, not equipped, not empowered. You have a calling and a destiny that was designed before the foundations of the world. God has great plans for you! No, you might not be called to missions in India, but your calling to be a light where you’re placed is no less important. And you might not be the one commissioned to do the hands-on work of building an orphanage or digging a village well, but your calling to fund those projects is no less significant. Don’t underestimate or devalue your contribution. YOU make a difference!
We are moving forward with the plans I shared before of providing clean water and an orphanage in Africa. We’re still reaching out through a variety of ways to change our local community, our nation and the nations of the world. I appreciate your partnership – both in prayer for God to work miracles on KNMI’s behalf and for your financial support in backing the endeavors God has commissioned for us to complete. For your best love gift this month, I want to send you my CD message, entitled Healing in the Name of Jesus. I believe it will encourage you to step out, as did the woman with the issue of blood, and receive what the Father has made available to you through His Son Jesus.
